New things

So I had a rough weekend. But I am feeling better now. Several people have said that I don't appear to have Asperger's Syndrome anymore. I was diagnosed by someone well known in the community but I tend to agree. Socially at least I seem to be where my peers seem to be. I get along well with peers individually and in groups. I am excited that this opens up more job possibilities for me as I move toward financial independence.

In other news I am working hard to overcome my eating disorder. I am meeting with a potential new therapist on Wednesday as my current therapist is going on maternity leave in May. I am sad that I won't be able to see her for a few months but excited for her that she is having a baby.  I am excited to meet the potential new therapist and hope she wants to work with me as I have heard good things about her.

Good news :)

So I had an appointment with the cardiologist today to go over the results of the holter test, It isn't as bad as I was told. He said the fluttering that my heart does sometimes is nothing dangerous which made me feel a lot better. He also said I could go off the heart medication I was put on last week as it was making me very tired. He said he would see me again in a year. I am feeling much relieved :)

Medical update

So I have had two doctors appointments since I last posted. One was to get the results of the holter moniter test. The test confirmed that my heart was beating really fast at times so I am now on medication for it.

The second appointment was with a breast specialist. She suggested I go ahead and get the spot that was found biopsed during another MRI. So that is what I will do in about a month. Not looking forward to it, but it must be done.

A health scare

So I had a health scare last week, well two really.  I had a breast MRI done in December and the doctors office called on Thursday and said that they found a spot on the left side that they want to look at closer. Then they said I could wait six months to redo the MRI. I was not happy with that. It something is wrong I would like to know sooner rather than later, so I made an appointment with my gynecologist that was last tuesday. She said the spot was really small and that it was probably just tissue that looked different and that is was proabably nothing. She said I could go see a breast surgeon and have them look at the film to get a second opinion if I wanted. Which is what I am going to do. I have an appointment with the specialist in a week and a half. At the very least I will need to redo the MRI in a couple of months.

The other thing is my heart has been skipping some lately so last week I was fitted with a holter moniter to moniter my heart for 24 hours. I get the results next week. I hope everyone is doing well and has a terrific weekend :)
